If you need BC Hydro service at a location that does not have an electrical connection (such as a new condo development, new vacation home or cabin), you will need to apply for a new electrical connection. The house only needs a 400A service because of future expansion. ![]() In this 'setup' where would a 'consumer feeder' end? Would I have to put the 200A combo panels in the closet? Or would the wiring from disco to splitter be considered the 'consumer feeder' and then I can put the combo panels as far as I want into the suites? Or were you implying that I have to have a disconnect after the splitter to meet the 1.5M rule then panels out in the suites. I will ask Hydro but do you know if before the 400A main disconnect they will require a pull box? Or will they pull straight into disco. Best of all it's totally free! Crosport: Thanks for the reply, Im glad I've started to stir up some discussion finally.
